Sometimes it is just not possible to shoot certain elements in an environment for various reasons. That is when we can create matte paintings. One of the earliest techniques involved painting directly onto large sheets of glass. These glass paintings would then be placed in front of the camera so that the live-action scene could be filmed through the painted image. This technique was used to create backgrounds and environments that were either too expensive or impossible to build physically.

Today we create those environments or elements digitally.

MOTION DESIGN

Motion Design refers to the creation of moving images that are not captured with a camera, but rather drawn and animated, either in 2D or 3D. This technique can encompass a wide range of applications, including animated movies, explainer videos, and 3D product animations. Essentially, motion design can be used to create any type of animated visual content for various purposes.

GRADING

Grading

Color grading is the process of adjusting and enhancing the color of a video or film. It involves manipulating the color palette, contrast, brightness, and saturation to achieve a specific visual aesthetic or mood. Grading is an essential part of post-production and can significantly impact the overall look and feel of the final product. It not only ensures visual consistency but also plays a critical role in storytelling, helping to convey emotions, set the tone, and create a distinctive visual style. Through the use of advanced software and techniques, color grading can elevate the aesthetic quality of a film or video, making it more engaging and visually appealing.

SOUND DESIGN

Sound Design

Sound design plays a crucial role in filmmaking, significantly enhancing the audience's experience and emotional engagement. It encompasses everything from dialogue, sound effects, and ambient noises to the musical score.

Sound design helps create a believable world within the film. The sounds of footsteps, doors creaking, wind blowing, and other environmental noises make scenes more realistic and immersive. Background sounds can establish the setting and mood of a scene, whether it’s the bustling noise of a city, the quiet of a deserted island, or the tension-filled silence in a thriller.

We know how to build an immersive soundscape that makes you feel if you're there.
